After graduating from Purdue University in May 1977, Paul began his career in public accounting with the audit departments of some of the biggest accounting firms in the business. Wieland & Company, Inc. had its beginnings in 1989 and was incorporated in 1995. Although he has served as a general practitioner for much of his career, he has primarily focused on auditing since entering the profession. With his own firm, Paul’s audit practice has been focused in multi-family housing, nonprofit organizations, cooperatives, public housing authorities and condominium/homeowner associations. Paul has served as a Team Captain in peer reviews of practices of other CPA firms and has testified in court proceedings as an expert witness on numerous occasions for matters pertaining to accounting procedures, internal controls and valuation issues. When Paul isn’t spending time with his family or business, he enjoys playing guitar, both on solo engagements and as lead guitarist with a local band.
After an early enjoyable career as a golf pro, Erik joined Wieland & Co. in 2010 with an undergraduate degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Regis University. Erik serves as an audit manager and enjoys delivering exceptional quality service for the firm’s clients.
